It is an oil-free Rotary Screw Compressor in which the compression chamber is sealed, cooled and lubricated by pure water instead of oil. The screw elements are made of corrosion-resistant materials, and water is separated and recirculated after compression, delivering 100% oil-free compressed air — the purest output available from a Screw Compressor.

The water-lubricated design guarantees oil-free air to ISO 8573-1 Class 0, meaning no oil contamination of any kind. Water remaining in the air is easily removed by the integrated separator and optional dryer, making it ideal for the most demanding applications.

Any process that requires completely oil-free air: food & beverage processing and bottling, pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, PET bottle blowing, electronics and semiconductors, chemical, textile, and sensitive packaging lines. It is also widely used where oil-lubricated compressors are prohibited by regulation or quality standards.

An oil-lubricated unit always carries a risk of oil carryover, no matter how good the filtration. Water provides excellent sealing and cooling inside the compression chamber, so water-lubricated units are significantly more energy efficient than dry-running screw compressors — often 15–20% lower energy consumption. The water is separated, cooled and recirculated inside the machine with automatic make-up. Maintenance includes periodic water replacement (typically every 2,000–4,000 hours) and checking the water level, filters and separator.
