This seriously impacts the normal operation of the screw air compressor inverter. The core components of the inverter are IGBT power semiconductor switching elements. When operating normally, they generate a significant amount of heat. Without forced cooling by a fan, the thermal sensor will immediately detect (IGBT) overheating and transmit this information to the CPU, immediately instructing it to stop. The display panel will display an overheating code (in this case, the display code will show err01, indicating inverter unit protection, which may include air duct blockage, fan damage, non-operation, or abnormal operation), prompting the operator to check and eliminate the problem before operation.

The following briefly describes the operating environment requirements and key points for use. Frequency converter operating environment requirements: Frequency converters can only operate safely and reliably under specified conditions. If environmental conditions do not meet these requirements, appropriate corrective measures must be implemented. The operating environment requirements for frequency converters are specified below.

 

The ambient temperature is -10°C to +50°C, and for 6-10kV medium-voltage VFDs, the range is generally 0°C to 40°C. Exceeding this temperature range can damage electronic components and cause malfunctions. Ensure proper ventilation and heat dissipation.

Technical training for screw air compressor agents

For constant-torque loads, the maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 50°C; for variable-torque loads, the maximum ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C. For safety reasons, in actual use, the ambient temperature in the VFD installation location should generally not exceed 40°C.

When the ambient temperature does not exceed 40°C, the inverter can continuously output 100% of its rated current. At 45°C, the screw air compressor inverter can only continuously output 80% of its rated current. Although the ambient temperature only rises by 5°C, the output current drops by 20%. When the ambient temperature rises further to 50°C, the inverter's output current drops to only 60%. This shows that the inverter's operating ambient temperature has a significant impact on its rated output current. Therefore, special attention should be paid to ventilation and heat dissipation at the inverter installation site.
