Air compressor maintenance is the key to ensuring the efficient operation of the equipment and extending its service life. The following are the key points for maintaining air compressors
Preparations before maintenance
1. Cut off the power supply: Turn off the power of the air compressor and wait for the machine to stop and cool down (for at least half an hour) to avoid scalding.
2. Venting gas: Open the blowdown ball valve of the gas storage tank to release the internal pressure. After confirming that the pressure gauge shows no pressure, proceed with the operation.
Main maintenance items
1.Replace the air filter element
Cycle: 500 hours for the first time, and every 2,000 hours thereafter.
Operation: Open the air filter cover, remove the old filter element, clean or replace it with a new one, install it in the indicated direction and tighten it.
2. Replace the oil filter
Cycle: 500 hours for the first time, and every 2,000 hours thereafter.
Operation: Use a wrench to unscrew the old oil filter, clean the interface, install the new oil filter and tighten it.
3. Change the engine oil
Cycle: Every 4,000 hours.
Operation: Drain the old engine oil, clean the oil passage, and add new engine oil that meets the specifications to the appropriate liquid level.
4. Replace the oil separator core
Cycle: Every 2,000 hours.
Operation: Remove the relevant pipelines, open the oil and gas drum cover, take out the old oil separator core, clean the inside of the drum, install the new oil separator core and tighten the bolts.
5. Check the cooler
Air-cooled type: Clean the air deflector and fan, and use compressed air to blow back or spray oil remover for cleaning.
Water-cooled type: Disassemble the inlet and outlet water pipes, soak them in cleaning solution or circulate them for flushing. If necessary, remove them to clean the scale.
Other precautions
Daily inspection: Check the oil level, hose leakage and temperature every day, inspect the circuit and clean the equipment every month, and thoroughly clean and lubricate the motor every quarter.
Environmental impact: If the working environment has a lot of dust, the maintenance cycle needs to be shortened.
Professional service: Complex components (such as motors, valves) are recommended to be maintained by professionals.
Regular maintenance can effectively reduce the failure rate, extend the service life of air compressors, and ensure stable production.
