7m3/min Air Dryer AC-50 - Efficient and reliable compressed air drying solution

The 7m3/min Air Dryer AC-50 is a high-performance industrial air dryer designed to provide stable and dry compressed air for a variety of applications. With dimensions of 1030*500*890 mm and a weight of 120 kg, the device is durable and easy to integrate into existing compressed air systems. The AC-50 is ideal for both industrial and domestic use, providing a reliable solution for moisture removal from compressed air streams.

The physical dehumidification center of the compressed air purification chain achieves a pressure dew point of 3-10℃ through zero-consumption refrigeration technology, providing the most energy-efficient drying solution for continuous production scenarios.

Refrigerated Air Dryer is a key air source treatment equipment that uses refrigeration technology to remove moisture from compressed air. Its core working principle is:

    1. Cool the compressed air to below the dew point temperature through a built-in refrigeration system.

    2. Condensate water vapor in the air into liquid water.
    3. Effectively separate and discharge liquid water through the separation device.
    4. Finally output dry and clean compressed air.

Core advantages: energy saving, reliable and convenient

    High efficiency and energy saving:

    1. Adopt pure physical cooling and dehydration principle, no adsorbent regeneration process is required.

    2. No compressed air is consumed, and compared with adsorption dryers (such as dehumidifiers), 12-15% of compressed air loss can be reduced.

    3. The power supply demand of the equipment itself is lower than that of adsorption dryers.

    Stable operation and simple maintenance:

    1. The structure is relatively simple, the valve parts are less worn, and the long-term operation stability is high.

    2. There is no need to regularly replenish or replace adsorbents (such as molecular sieves, activated alumina), which significantly reduces maintenance costs and material consumption.

    3. Condensate is discharged through an automatic drainer, and daily maintenance mainly includes daily cleaning of filters.

    Strong applicability:
Especially suitable for industrial scenarios with continuous operation.
System linkage: the core of compressed air drying process

The collaborative work of Adsorption Air Dryer and screw type compressor is the key link to obtain dry compressed air. The typical compressed air processing process is: air compressor → air storage tank → refrigerated dryer → air-using equipment

The high-temperature and high-humidity compressed air output by the air compressor first enters the air storage tank for buffering and pressure stabilization. Subsequently, the air enters the air inlet of the refrigerated dryer for deep dehumidification. Finally, the dried clean compressed air is supplied to the air-using equipment.

The two need to achieve efficient and stable linkage operation through reasonable pipeline connection, control timing coordination, and parameter matching (such as flow and pressure).
Q1. What is a refrigerated air dryer and how does it work? +

It is a compressed air treatment unit that removes water vapor from compressed air by cooling. The air passes through a refrigeration circuit: it is chilled to a low temperature so moisture condenses into liquid, which is drained away automatically, then the dry air is reheated before discharge. The result is dry compressed air that protects your tools, pipes and processes from corrosion, blockages and product damage.

Q2. Why do I need to dry my compressed air? +

Compressed air naturally contains water vapor. Without drying, condensation forms in pipes and tools, causing corrosion, blocked valves, frozen lines in winter, contamination of products (paint, food, electronics) and premature failure of pneumatic equipment. Drying is the most cost-effective way to prevent these problems.

Q3. What dew point can a refrigerated dryer achieve? +

A refrigerated dryer typically delivers a pressure dew point of 3–10°C (common standard: +3°C), which is sufficient for most general industrial applications such as pneumatic tools, general automation, spray painting, sandblasting and packaging. If you need lower dew points (−20°C or below), a desiccant dryer is required.

Q4. What is the difference between a refrigerated dryer and a desiccant dryer? +

A refrigerated dryer cools the air and achieves +3°C dew point at low running cost, suitable for general use. A desiccant (adsorption) dryer uses desiccant media to reach −20°C to −70°C dew points for demanding processes, but consumes regeneration air (purge loss) and costs more to operate. Many plants combine both: refrigerated first, then desiccant.

Q5. How do I select the right size? +

Sizing depends on four factors: air flow (m³/min or CFM), working pressure, inlet air temperature, and ambient temperature. Higher inlet or ambient temperature significantly reduces drying capacity, so oversizing is often needed for hot climates or machines without aftercoolers. Send us your compressor details and conditions — we will recommend the correct model.

Q6. How much pressure drop does it add? +

Our dryers are designed for low pressure drop — typically 0.1–0.2 bar at rated flow — so the impact on system pressure is minimal. Proper installation with adequate pipe size and avoiding restrictions keeps the drop at the guaranteed level.

Q7. What about condensate and drainage? +

Condensate is collected in the internal separator and discharged automatically by an electronic or float-type drain valve, so no manual draining is needed in normal operation. An optional condensate management system can separate oil from water for environmentally compliant disposal.

Q8. What maintenance does it require? +

Maintenance is simple and infrequent: periodically clean the condenser fins and fan (dusty sites need more frequent cleaning), check the automatic drain and refrigerant pressures, and replace the pre-filter elements on schedule. Most dryers run for years with a simple annual service kit.

Q9. How energy efficient is it? +

We offer standard units with efficient hermetic compressors and optional variable frequency control (VSD) that matches cooling capacity to actual load, cutting electricity use under partial load. A hot-gas bypass or capacity control further stabilizes performance while saving energy at low demand.

Q10. Do I still need filters with a dryer? +

Yes. We recommend a pre-filter (e.g. 1 µm) upstream to protect the dryer from oil and particles, and a post-filter downstream where fine purity is required (e.g. 0.01 µm or activated carbon for food/pharma). We supply complete packages — dryer plus filters and separators — as a turnkey air treatment system.

Q11. What are the installation requirements? +

Installation is simple: place the dryer on a level floor with clearance for ventilation and service, connect it after the air receiver or compressor aftercooler, and provide power and a condensate drain line. We supply a full installation and commissioning manual with every unit.

Q12. Can it work in hot or cold environments? +

Standard units are rated for ambient temperatures of roughly 5–45°C. In hot climates, choose a model sized for higher ambient or add a high-temperature version; in cold environments, ensure the drain line cannot freeze. We confirm your site conditions when recommending a model.

Q13. Do you support customization and OEM/ODM? +

Yes. As the manufacturer, we customize voltage/frequency (e.g. 220V/380V/415V, 50/60Hz), control options, drain types, insulation or enclosure, color and branding, plus OEM/ODM with your logo and packaging. We also build complete skid-mounted dry packages with filters, receivers and dryers.

Q14. What certifications do you hold? +

Our factory is ISO 9001 certified, and the dryers carry CE certification, with other certificates available for your destination market (e.g. pressure equipment certification where required). We provide full export documentation with every shipment.

Q15. What is the lead time and how is it shipped? +

Standard models ship within 7–20 days after order confirmation; customized or larger units take 20–40 days. Units are export-packed in plywood cases or cartons suitable for sea or air freight, with full protection against moisture and shock.

Q16. What warranty and after-sales support do you provide? +

We offer a 12–24 month warranty, 24/7 remote technical support, installation guidance, and long-term spare parts supply — filters, drains, fans and refrigeration components — typically dispatched within 3–7 days to minimize your downtime.
