    Product Description

ZAKF heat regenerative adsorption dryer is an energy-efficient compressed air purification device that combines pressure swing adsorption (PSA) technology with electric auxiliary heating. Adopting a reliable dual-tower structure, it uses high-strength activated alumina and molecular sieve to deeply adsorb moisture inside compressed air. During operation, one tower completes air drying under working pressure, while the other tower achieves thorough desorption and adsorbent regeneration with the assistance of built-in heating elements and a small amount of purge air. With an intelligent cyclic switching system and an all-steel sturdy structure, the equipment maintains a stable pressure dew point ranging from -40℃ to -70℃. It efficiently eliminates water vapor, oil mist and impurities, providing ultra-dry and high-purity compressed air for continuous industrial production.

    Application Scenarios

    • Chemical & Petrochemical Industry: Suitable for harsh working conditions with high humidity and high oil content, preventing pipeline freezing and chemical reaction deviations caused by humid air.
    • Medical & Pharmaceutical Industry: Satisfy strict GMP requirements for sterile production, applied in medical gas supply and pharmaceutical drying processes to avoid moisture contamination.
    • Precision Electronics & Semiconductor: Effectively prevent static electricity, condensation and circuit oxidation, ensuring stable operation of precision instruments and automated production lines.
    • Coating, Spraying & Surface Treatment: Eliminate water spots and bubbles on product surfaces, improving spraying smoothness and finished product qualification rate.
    • Heavy Industry & Metallurgy: Adapt to large-air-volume industrial pneumatic systems, protecting pneumatic valves, cylinders and precision machinery from corrosion and moisture damage.

    Core Selling Points

    • Superior Drying Performance: Equipped with independent heating regeneration system, the adsorbent achieves more complete regeneration. It maintains an ultra-low dew point steadily even under high humidity and fluctuating air load.
    • Lower Purge Air Consumption: Compared with heatless type dryers, the heated regeneration design greatly reduces purge air loss, effectively lowering long-term operating costs and energy waste.
    • Strong Environmental Adaptability: It works stably in low-temperature, high-humidity and high-altitude environments without dew point attenuation, suitable for complex and harsh industrial working conditions.
    • Intelligent Automatic Control: Featuring PLC intelligent control, real-time temperature monitoring and automatic tower switching. It supports unattended operation with fault alarm and overheating protection functions.
    • Durable & Low Maintenance: Thickened carbon steel tower body and anti-corrosion piping extend service life. The adsorbent has longer service cycles with fewer replacement times, greatly reducing daily maintenance expenses.
Q1. What is an adsorption (desiccant) dryer and how does it work? +

It is a compressed Air Dryer that removes moisture using desiccant media such as activated alumina or molecular sieves. Air passes through a vessel filled with desiccant, which adsorbs the water vapor and delivers very dry air; while one vessel dries, the other is regenerated, so the two towers alternate automatically to provide a continuous supply of dry air.

Q2. What dew point can it achieve? +

Adsorption dryers deliver pressure dew points from −20°C down to −40°C or even −70°C, depending on the desiccant and configuration. Choose the grade that matches your process: −20°C for general low-humidity needs, −40°C for food, electronics and pneumatics, and −70°C for critical applications such as instrument air, semiconductor and pharmaceutical processes.

Q3. Which applications need an adsorption dryer? +

Any process requiring very dry air that a refrigerated dryer cannot provide: pneumatic instrumentation and control systems, food and beverage processing, electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, pharmaceutical and biotechnology, powder conveying, chemical plants, textile, outdoor pipelines in cold climates, and compressed air stored in remote lines where freezing must be avoided.

Q4. What regeneration types do you offer? +

We offer heatless (pressure swing) dryers with no heating — simple and reliable, using purge air; heated (micro-heated) dryers that use a heater to regenerate with lower purge loss; and heat-of-compression dryers that recover compressor waste heat for zero additional energy. We help you choose the most economical type based on your running hours and energy price.

Q5. What is purge air loss and how does it affect running cost? +

Purge air is a portion of dried air used to regenerate the desiccant and is exhausted — typically 5–15% of rated flow depending on type. Lower purge designs (heated or heat-of-compression) cost more upfront but save energy over time. For a 24/7 plant, we calculate the lifetime cost of purge loss for each type so you can choose wisely.

Q6. How do I select the right size? +

Sizing considers air flow, working pressure, inlet air temperature, ambient temperature, and the required outlet dew point. Higher inlet temperature reduces capacity, so dryers are often rated with a pre-dryer or aftercooler upstream. Send us your compressor and site data and we will size the correct model with a safety margin.

Q7. Do I need a refrigerated dryer before the adsorption dryer? +

Yes, in most cases. Cooling the air first with a refrigerated dryer or aftercooler removes bulk moisture and heat before the adsorption stage, protecting the desiccant and reducing purge load. A combined package — refrigerated pre-dryer + adsorption dryer — is the standard, most economical configuration.

Q8. How often must the desiccant be replaced? +

Desiccant life depends on inlet conditions and regeneration quality — typically 3–5 years for activated alumina and 2–4 years for molecular sieves under proper operation. We supply genuine desiccant refill kits and a simple replacement procedure, and the pressure dew point monitor tells you when the desiccant is degrading.

Q9. What maintenance does it require? +

Routine maintenance covers the inlet filters, automatic drains, valves and desiccant inspection on schedule; the control system prompts service reminders. Heated types additionally need heater element checks. With an annual service kit, these dryers run reliably for many years.

Q10. How much pressure drop does it add? +

A well-designed adsorption dryer adds a pressure drop of roughly 0.15–0.3 bar at rated flow through the vessels and internals. We publish the pressure drop curve for every model so you can account for it in system design.

Q11. Do you offer dew point monitoring and energy saving control? +

Yes. Optional dew point sensors provide continuous outlet monitoring with alarms, and dew-point-dependent control (DPC) automatically switches the dryer into standby or extends cycle time when air demand or humidity is low — reducing purge loss and energy consumption by up to 30–50% under light load.

Q12. What are the installation requirements? +

Place the dryer on a level floor with service clearance, connect it downstream of the pre-treatment (receiver, refrigerated dryer or aftercooler), and provide power and drain connections. Adsorption dryers are floor-standing units; we supply installation and commissioning manuals and offer remote start-up guidance.

Q13. Can it operate in hot or cold environments? +

Standard units operate in ambient temperatures of roughly 5–45°C. In very cold climates, ensure drains and piping are frost-protected; in hot, humid sites, correct pre-drying is essential. We confirm site conditions and configure protection accordingly.

Q14. Do you support customization and OEM/ODM? +

Yes. As the manufacturer, we customize voltage/frequency, control systems (PLC, DPC, communication protocols), vessel materials and pressure rating, skid-mounted packages, color and branding, plus OEM/ODM with your logo and documentation.

Q15. What certifications do you hold and what is the lead time? +

Our factory is ISO 9001 certified and units carry CE certification; pressure vessel certification is available where required by your market. Standard models ship within 10–25 days after order confirmation, customized units 25–45 days, export-packed for sea or air freight.

Q16. What warranty and after-sales support do you provide? +

We offer a 12–24 month warranty, 24/7 remote technical support, installation and commissioning guidance, desiccant and parts supply for over 10 years — typically dispatched within 3–7 days — to keep your dry air supply running without interruption.
